Los Angeles has always been more than a place — it’s the people.
The ones building. Creating. Connecting. The ones showing up with their gifts and shaping the city just by being themselves.
When we dropped the Amigos of LA Hat, it wasn’t just another release. It was a tribute.
To the friends, collaborators, and creative partners who move the culture forward — quietly, boldly, and authentically.
It was our way of saying thank you. A nod. A love letter to this community. And when we said, you’re an Amigo too, we meant it. This piece was made with all of you in mind.
Meet Frank
Frank saw his father screen printing when he was just a kid. By high school, he had taught himself the craft — and never stopped. Today, he helps bring Good Quality Human to life, one print at a time.
He’s more than a printer. He’s part of the soul of what we do. We appreciate you, Frank.
Meet Emily
Emily Vernon is the digital brain behind so much of what happens on our site and in your inbox.
She runs Vice Versa Strategy, an LA-based agency that focuses on web design, strategy, and email marketing — and brings intention to everything she touches. She's the kind of person who just gets it — and makes it look easy. We’re lucky to have her in our corner.
Meet Angel
Then there’s Angel Vu — our friend and the unapologetic force behind Blow Me Candle Co. A New Orleans native turned LA local, Angel started pouring candles during the pandemic. What began in the kitchen turned into a full-blown business, built on boldness, joy, and a little bit of chaos. But Blow Me was always about more than just candles. It was about community. Curation. Creating a vibe.
Angel brought people together — through workshops, events, and handpicked goods from fellow indie brands and local artists. Every candle she made was hand-poured with heart, attitude, and intention.
These are our people. This is our city. This hat was for them. And for you. Because you’re part of this story too. You’re an Amigo. Wear it proud!
